Meta keywords are a great way for you to communicate with search engines about what your site is all about. Ultimately, search engines make their own decision about your site, but if you use Meta keywords correctly they may just agree with what you tell them. Meta keywords are words that describe the content of a particular page. You can see these keywords by looking at the page source, with most browsers you just right click the page and then select page source. The Meta keywords are in the head section of the HTML code.
When choosing keywords you want to make sure to do your homework. Ultimately, you want you keywords to tie together with your Meta description and title tags. That being said, they don’t necessarily need to be the exact same words. You should make sure though that you are using the keywords in a NATURAL way in the Meta description. Make sure to use the Google Adwords keyword tool when choosing your keywords, just like the title tags.
